Challenge

Major challenges

Major ecological challenges that life on planet is facing are

Air quality

By end of 2021, CO2 levels reached at 417.88 PPM and is rising everyday. Rising greenhouse gases are causing changes and extreme weather.

Other greenhouse gases like Methane, Nitrous Oxide are slowly rising and causing further challenges to climate.

Fresh Water

Only 1% of fresh water is available for consumption while 1 out of 3 do not have access to safe drinking water.

Many cities around the world are now reaching day 0 when there is no more fresh drinking water is available.

Desertification and land degradation

As per US FAO, if current process of soil erosion and chemical farming continuous soil fertility and desertification will impact life on planet. On average, 23 hecatares of land or about 56 football pitches of land is degraded every minute. Soil fertility needs to be increased using different organic means.

What are we doing about it?

We are working on following solutions

Air

We support tree plantation groups in India and Tanzania with sales proceeds from our sustainable products brand Oxygen. Combined these organisations are planting over 100,000 trees a year.

Water

We are working with organisations to save fresh water with our product Just wave2save. The product is developed by student in UK and registered with UK intellectual property office. It uses human interaction
and behavioural changes to capture grey water from going into sewer. This water can be used for alternative purpose like for green areas. This way less water goes to sewer thereby saving energy to
clean water which in turn saves Co2 generation at power plants. Less water at sewer plant also means less Methane and Nitrous oxide produced.

Desertification and land degradation

Using different organic practice we are working towards land fertility restoration.

At individual homes, food waste can be composted and can be put back to plant pots. This organic compost has all nutriants needed for healthy soil.
